I try to maintain clear professional boundaries with my sex therapy clients, and it's worked pretty well (in my "fun," bonoboesque fashion) for over 25 years, though I suppose I do it in a rather different way than most other AASECT therapists. I'm especially inspired by your next to last line: "When that happens, the boundaries we need will change, and therapists and clients might enjoy greater freedom of sexual expression." Yay!
